Duška Radosavljević

Director and Host
Duška Radosavljević is Reader in Contemporary Theatre and Performance at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her scholarly work focuses on on dramaturgy, writing for performance, and theatre-making; in addition to her work as an academic, she has written for and about performance in numerous contexts and has a long-standing career as a dramaturg. Duška is the author of the award-winning Theatre-Making: Interplay Between Text and Performance in the 21st Century (2013) and editor of The Contemporary Ensemble (2013) and Theatre Criticism: Changing Landscapes (2016). Her previous AHRC-funded work also includes the Mums and Babies Ensemble.
Flora Pitrolo

Flora Pitrolo is a researcher, broadcaster and writer. Her work looks at archives of experimental European performance and music scenes from the 1980s to the present. Her most recent large project is the artist book Syxty Sorriso & Altre Storie (Rome: Yard Press, 2017), and she is currently co-editing a volume on non-Anglophone disco scenes entitled Disco Heterotopias. In parallel to her work in performance and writing, Flora works as a music journalist, DJ and broadcaster, and is a long-standing collaborator of London’s Arts Radio Resonance FM and of Skopje’s Kanal 103.
Tim Bano

Tim Bano is a freelance radio producer and award-winning arts journalist. He has worked extensively on Radio 4 on programmes including Desert Island Discs, Loose Ends, Front Row, In Our Time, Start the Week, and Rewinder with Greg James. As a journalist he has written for the Guardian, Time Out, Metro and the Independent and is currently chief theatre critic for The Stage newspaper, specialising in musical theatre. He produces The Stage’s theatre podcast Seven Stages, and previously produced a podcast for Exeunt Magazine.
Juan Salazar

Juan Salazar is an early career creative practitioner whose involvement with digital media production includes: 2D/3D animation and psychedelic audio-reactive live visual work (TouchDesigner), music production and curation experience (Live/Logic) and video production and editing (FCPX). Having worked with Dubai-based VR company Pixaera and Kingo Energy (Colombia), Juan’s creative vision has covered distant territories in many senses. As a student at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Juan has cultivated a profound appreciation for the craft of Theatre and Performance and the potential of digital experiences.

Jane Boston
Project Collaborator
Jane Boston is a Principal Lecturer at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, leading the MA/MFA in Voice Studies: Teaching and Coaching and heading up the International Network in Voice. She has extensive experience of embodied voice, communication skills and leadership training with business leaders, civil servants in the Foreign Office and within community groups. In 1980 she co-founded Brighton’s Siren Theatre, which re-formed in 2014 to perform and develop new compositions in relation to changes in feminist performance practice. Jane’s Voice: Readings in Theatre Practice was published by Palgrave Macmillan in July 2018.
Sitandile Dubé

Sitandile Dubé is a London-born award-winning vocalist, musician, poet, artist, practitioner, and researcher, and is renowned amongst international jazz vocalists and the voice departments of the UK drama schools. In 2020-21 She released her debut album, ‘Trying Times’, and is currently working on voice research in the UK spoken voice curriculum in drama schools.
Embodying a stellar African musical lineage, the eclectic tastes of a London upbringing and a deep love and respect for the jazz tradition, Deelee possesses what Jazz Times called “a warm tone, genuine blues feeling and easy rhythmic authority.”
